I loved reading about the elephants, but I became confused in the plot about the humans.

I enjoyed the elephant info. She is always so well researched. This is probably the reason I enjoy her books so much. This one had a slow-moving plot, so I agree it wasn't her best .

I just finished it. It was good, not super great. Lots of very interesting details about elephants, those parts were very engaging and well-researched. The story itself wasn't what I expected, didn't pull me in as much as other Jodi Picoult novels.
