You can totally read the book if you've already read the series over the years.. I was at the book premier in September and got my copy at midnight... but I didn't even start it till March because I spent the winter re-reading the entire series. Partly to remember all the little details and partly to make it last that much longer lol. But if you've never read any of the previous books... then I'd suggest starting with Dead Witch Walking because you won't understand references and memories and stuff at all.. and they make a lot.
