Goodreads asked David Donaghe:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

David Donaghe I don't believe in writer's block. There is good writing, bad writing and then there is editing. Editing makes bad writing better and good writing great. To me, writer's block is just another term for being lazy. If you are stuck in the middle of a story, keep plugging along. You can fix it during the editing process, or you can always kill off some of your characters or bring in some new ones. If you want to start a new project and you don't know what to write about, write about that. You could write a story about a frustrated writer that goes on a killing rampage. Putting words on the page will stimulate your imagination and the words will come.
