I'm wondering how this book compares to "A Secular Age." Are they so similar that to read one would not require one to read the other?

Jeremy They are pretty similar, as far as Catholic narratives of modernity go. Taylor seems more willing to appreciate certain aspects of Protestantism. He is also probably more liberal of a Catholic than Gregory is.
