Goodreads asked Charlie Fiveash:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Charlie Fiveash As a Georgia native, I have always been enamored with anything to do with the State of Georgia, so I wanted to honor the state with a book set in rural Georgia. My family has ties to a small county in Georgia, Turner County, where the book is set. Moonlight through the Pine incorporates so much of what Georgia encompasses from the metropolitan area of Atlanta to the piney woods of South Georgia.
