Goodreads asked T.L. Merrybard:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

T.L. Merrybard Read a lot. Write a lot to develop your own style. Don't go back to edit first drafts till you are finished. If necessary keep notes of what you want to go back and fix, if plots or characters change as you go along, but don't go back till that first draft is done. Editing too soon is the killer of flow, for me at least.
