Anastasia Deligianis
asked:
I was informed that is it very loosely considered historical fiction. It is set in the 1920's; however, it does not necessarily discuss important and influential historical events that occurred during this time period. Nor does it address the general lifestyle of the 1920's. For those of you that have read this novel, what is your opinion about its placement in a YA Historical Fiction list?

It's actually set in the 1930s, for the most part. It discusses the general lifestyle of the 1930s and includes some historical events that occurred in 1937. There's a fantasy element, though--so it's not strictly historical.
