Is there any software you use to keep track of your story ideas, characters, events, timelines, etc. like Word, Excel, notebook paper?

William C. Tracy Yep! I use Notepad, Word, and Excel. I have several files with story ideas in them, and I usually end up with an Excel timeline on my larger stories to make sure I don't mess up days, especially if I have different POVs in different places.
My characters are the least plotted part of my writing. I let them grow organically as I write.
