Abyss takes place about two years after Inigo has had his dreams and he's building Makkatarran 2 in Ellezelin. At this point I believe Eduard has been taken by the Skylords to the Heart (it's been a while since I've read the Void series). It's before the Pilgrammage, if I'm not mistaken.
