Rob Smith asked:

How do you explain the fact that 2 Nephi 16:2 is copied from an older version of the KJV of the Bible in Isa 6:2? This is proven because this older KJV (the mistake is corrected in current versions) made a rare gramatical error by using the incorrect plural form of "seraphims" rather than "seraphim".

Kara The reason why 2 Nephi 16:2 is about the same thing as what is in the Bible is because this is when Jacob was speaking to the Nephites, and he was quoting Isaiah. When Nephi's family left for the wilderness, they had to turn around and get the brass plates from a man named Laban. Contained in these plates were the teachings pf prophets. It was parts of the Old Testament, including Isaiah. So when this scripture appears in Second Nephi, it is because Jacob is reading these plates to the people, and is teaching them with these scriptures.
Jwg Because Joseph Smith used the bible as a resource when he wrote the Book of Mormon.
