This was the question that took most of my life to answer, until I realized that continuing to lie, or telling the truth we’re both forms of deception. While the truth might sting, those you love deserve to know the real you. When I realized that lying to my family was causing them to question their self worth, I realized that lying and gas lighting them was more painful and deceptive than giving them the truth they deserved.
