Goodreads asked T.E. Correll:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

T.E. Correll Write because you love to write. If you have met that requirement, stick with it. Most first time authors probably don't realize how much work is involved in writing and give up too soon.

Put out only quality work. Review, revise, review, revise, review, revise. I seem to remember that Dr. Seuss (Theodor Geisel) took seven years to write Cat In The Hat. All of that time was spent editing, tweaking, improving. He was meticulous and insisted that every sentence was perfect.
