Goodreads asked William D. Prystauk:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

William D. Prystauk There's no such thing. I used to call it "writer's excuse," but that's not true either.

If a writer is thinking about a story in his or her head, they are writing, even though the words haven't yet made it to paper. What many mistake for "writer's block" is simply due to the writer having several options to choose from for a story, scene or character.

The writer can either daydream about the character and trust where they lead him or her, or to choose a path, write, and see what happens.
