Goodreads asked Luanne C. Brown:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Luanne C. Brown The only way around writer's block is through it. When I was starting out as a writer, I took classes from a wonderful teacher, Jean Byrant. She had a practice she called the "Zero Draft." Her instructions were to sit down and write continuously for 20 minutes, not stopping for anything. If you couldn't think of anything to write down, you had to write, 'I can't think of anything to say," and go from there. It really does break the log dam of silence that swirls in your head. Give it a try!
