Goodreads asked Luanne C. Brown:

How do you get inspired to write?

Luanne C. Brown I am a procrastinator, so I can't really rely on inspiration. I have to force myself into my chair, open my file, and start pounding away. That being said, I do get moments of inspiration--usually when I am far away from pencil and paper or my computer. My best thoughts usually come to me either in the middle of the night--and they wake me up--or first thing in the morning. I'll often start telling someone about what I'm working on and that will inspire more ideas as well. Taking time away from my desk is equally as important as sitting at it. So, I like to take walks with my dog and/or family members. I also am a collage artist so doing that inspires me as well and I ended up doing the cover for "Once in a Pink Moon" and included some of my collages in the book as well. Inspiration is out there; I just have to be open to it. Sometimes I think that I don't come UP with ideas, they somehow find me. I just have to be open to receiving them.
