I like reading them in order, but appreciate the fact that each story can stand on its own as a separate novel. I actually read #4 first, then found out it was part of a series when I did my Goodreads review.

this is the only one I have read and I liked it.

Although it is #2 in the series there are characters in the book that we met first in Jonquil #0 (The Kiss of a Stranger). This series can be read as stand alone books, but I like to follow the family as each Jonquil brother meets the woman he can't live without. (The married brothers pop up again as the series moves on.)
