Fraser Beath McEwing
First, become an avid reader, taking notice of the genres of the books you like. Ask yourself why they work or don't work. Decide on the genre of the book or story you want to write. There are as may ways to write as there are authors. Some plan every detail before they put down the first word. Others, like me, have only a vague direction in their heads of where they want to go and push off into the darkness. Try to write something every day. Keep exercising your writing muscle.
