Its hard to answer. They have been calling their father by name since the beginning. So, its definitely Atticus who taught them to call him by name, or should I say he didn't really teach them to call him dad or something. It doesn't really matter, does it? Although he did lay emphasis on how his children greeted and called the neighbors and other people. I can only conclude that he didn't care what his children called him. It does portray Atticus' unique and eccentric personality though.
