Goodreads asked Jeff Leshay:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Jeff Leshay Unless you have the luxury of devoting yourself full-time to writing a book, break it up into rewarding, bite-size pieces to keep it manageable. I've found this approach to writing helps those of us with "day jobs" avoid feeling overwhelmed by the enormity of the project. Similarly, it's encouraging to remind ourselves that even small increments of time, albeit with intense focus, add up to surprisingly robust accomplishments.
