I'm a big old school boarding school stories fan and I'm loving the Finishing School books so far - but how much of the series did you have planned out before you started the first one? And have you stuck to your plan or is it evolving as you write?

Gail Carriger I had a loose arc and knew it would be 4 books. Since I'm a strict outliner I actually prefer this sort of approach: I know where I am going and how much wordage I have to get there. I've stuck to the basics of the plan, some of the specifics of each book have certainly evolved!

Hi- I'm curious about your stance on whether steampunk (in particular your novels) are science fiction or fantasy? My library has your books in general fiction, scif-fi, and fantasy. Which is odd, because they all take place in the same world. Thanks!
