Cheryl asked Mary Higgins Clark:

When writing your books, do you have the whole storyline in mind before you write or does it come gradually as you write? What books inspired you to become an author?

Mary Higgins Clark I have to know the ending. I have to be sure that the killer is well motivated and believable, but then it's as though I'm going from New York to California. In the beginning, I'm not sure if I'm going by way of the South, or from Canada. The point is: I know where I'm going.
