Goodreads asked C.P.T. Jennings:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

C.P.T. Jennings The Undulating Mountain is the result of several intersecting concerns and interests. Ever since childhood, I have wondered how the mythologies I grew up with, such as King Arthur, could be relevant to Americans. This book, which has as back story my Arthurian novel Her Family of Men, ties together current ecological and sociological concerns with ancient American myth and imported -- Grail-based -- myth. You could say that I've been working on this book since I was about 9.
