I love this book. It was a rare combination....a memoir about a son's devotion to his dying mother, and a carefully culled reading list that's brought me countless hours of pleasure. Plus Will Schwalbe writes beautifully.

Very much! It is not only a book about a wonderful woman, mother, and grandmother, it is also a book about books. The author's acute observations and sympathies are beautifully expressed. Not easy, but achieved so well.
