Did only read the first book half through, but could not find Harry that abusive...he's just difficult and sarcastic...*shrug*
It's about how you let yourself be treated, about knowing what people say or do tells a lot about THEM, and all the drama is just constructed, or, as in real life, a result of missed/failed communication.
