Katherine asked Martha Waters:

Hi Martha! I just finished reading both your books and I'm in love. Is there any chance we will see an epilogue of the characters' lives in the future? (More than months in the future, maybe years, such that there will be children and a peek into their lives together after time?)

Martha Waters Thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed!

I get asked about epilogues a lot — I haven’t written them in the books themselves so far for a couple of reasons. Part of it is the fact that my books all take place quite close together, so my instinct was to let all the action in the books play out before eventually writing an epilogue for the whole series. Partly, also, with To Love and to Loathe especially, I loved the last scene so much that I really wanted to end the book on that note, and not write an epilogue. (Also, I will confess that I struggle with epilogues a bit so want to be sure I'm writing one that feels like the right fit for my books.)

I do plan to write some sort of series epilogue—I’m not sure how many books will be in the series yet, so I’m not sure if this will be something that appears in whatever the last book ends up being, or something I send out through my newsletter or put on my website. But I do promise to eventually write something!
