Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

John Patrick I actually started writing Franklin in Paradise before the COVID pandemic-so imagine my surprise when life started imitating art. My inspiration was a discussion I had with a friend about labels and sexual orientations, and I wanted to write a story that would highlight how labels we apply-both to ourselves and to others-can be limiting as well as freeing. I thought a post apocalyptic world would be an interesting environment to explore that idea.
