To be completely honest, this was my first release and I wasn't sure what I was in for. I've received both good and bad feedback from readers. Basically, I had no beta readers or editor - it was just me, myself and I, so I decided to take a chance. This story was never meant to be anything but a background story for the other two.
I've learned since releasing Book 1 that I should have listed it as a novella and pointed out the cliffhanger. I will not make that mistake again in the future.
