Goodreads asked Ken Lenz:

How do you get inspired to write?

Ken Lenz This is an excellent question, and in my case each of my books has been written based on a significant need for more to be expressed on a particular topic. My books are on matters related to the Christian faith and biblical truths––particularly on topics that have generated controversy. For example, my first book was written on the topic of baptism, and includes the subject matter of both water baptism and the baptism in the Spirit (so as to draw a distinction between those two kinds of baptism). That book is both comprehensive and biblical in its focus (as expressed in its subtitle “As Taught in the Scriptures”). It was based on a doctoral dissertation I had done within a Ph.D. program, though written to be easily understood and received by any adult or teenaged reader.

The research and writing of that first book spun off into the completion of two other (shorter) books, including a book on the “baptism” that Christ experienced on the cross (entitled God’s Son “Forsaken,” His Sacrifice “Finished!” ) and a book entitled Confession and Communion. All three of those books are available in print (both hardcover and softcover) and as e-books through Xlibris publishing (see www.KenLenz.com). The expanded 195,000-word book, Water Baptism and Spirit Baptism: Expanded Edition, is available only as an e-book distributed by Smashwords (go to https://www.smashwords.com/books/view... ).
