Goodreads asked Pilar Savage:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Pilar Savage I like getting into the details of what other lives are like. For instance, when writing Once Upon a Dirtball, I researched what people in primitive societies ate, what they wore, and what their weapons were made of. For Victim & Witness, I used a familiar setting— the mountains of North Carolina. My characters don't just pass through a setting. Instead, they live in it.
