I got the story of my most recent book, You Can Leave Anytime, from my real-life experiences in alcohol rehab in Florida. My newest book, which I'm titling Ageless Dilettante, comes from all kinds of different ideas that have been whirling in my head, including a deep curiosity about the day-to-day lives of people throughout the 20th Century.
