Goodreads asked Lisa Landtroop:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Lisa Landtroop I'd have to give the same advice I've been given, because it truly works:
1) Write what you love. It makes the process of writing that much more enjoyable!
2) Don't worry about reviews and haters. You won't please everyone. Are you writing for your own enjoyment and to hopefully bring pleasure, information, or enlightenment to others? Then focus on that. Besides, they say that you've actually made it when you finally have "haters."
3) Keep writing. Take breaks when you need to, but come back to it. Never give up if you enjoy it. Make writing a habit, you'll get better and learn tons about yourself in the process.
4) Writing really IS the easy part. Publishing and marketing your book is leaps and bounds more difficult and time consuming! But don't let that deter you.

Most of all - have fun and enjoy your time writing. So many others 'wish they could write,' that to have the bug for writing and to chase it, that's something really special!
