Goodreads asked Steve Jackowski:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Steve Jackowski At this point, I've written three relatively long novels. Amazingly, I've never suffered from writer's block. Of course, I'm not under pressure to deliver by a particular deadline, so if I don't feel like writing for a day or even a week, I don't worry about it. Also, once I write a chapter or two (often the beginning or the end) and flesh out characters, I create a loose outline. Then, at any time, I can pick a section and just write it. I may throw it away later or rewrite it, but I'm never blocked because I always have plan of what needs to be written.
