I don't think Rose owns a whip and the relationship with Lily and her mom is quickly resolved in AAA which I am not a fan of the outcome because it's like the authors wanted to quickly wrap up that lose end since it's the last book in Lilo's POV. But if you haven't AAA, read it and you'll see what happens.
