This book is definitely HISTORICAL, in that the Holocaust truly happened in our lifetime, and is one of history's most devastating and incrimating times of mankind. Everyone should read this book, so that "history" will not repeat itself. It should be required reading in our schools. It is FICTIONAL, only because the characters that Rosenberg uses in his script are only similar to the real life Jews who died and those few who miraculously escaped the ovens of Hitler's hatred. All members of our immediated families have read this book----both men and women. We love all of Joel Rosenberg's books!

Douglas and Catherine answered this question very well. Lynn, The Auschwitz Escape is a historical suspense novel. Joel is known for his edge-of-your-seat geopolitical thrillers. This novel, though set in concentration camps in WWII, is no different. Worth a read if you enjoy Vince Flynn, David Baldacci, and Brad Thor.

it's a fictional account of a very dark time in the worlds history hence it comes under the genre of Historical Fiction.
Donna
I would say Historical Fiction. I have read it and a lot more of Joel C. Rosenberg's books. It may have fictionalized characters but his books also come out right before things happen in this world.
