Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

James Case The idea for my debut novel came from having fallen down into the bottomless pit that is genealogy. Unearthing a string of demonstrable facts but not being able to reach back and find the underlying meaning of these facts or being able to connect them in a logical way. This left so many questions. So much speculation.

My writing allows me to build up the fictional meat on the bones of historical facts.
