Yes! This is a great way to get introduced to WW2 history in an approachable way. Shaara's series introduces the main players in WW2 (ie, Patton, Rommel, Eisenhower, et. al.) as well as dives in to key battles and experiences on the front lines. It's not graphic or gory but the story telling aspects, while certainly taking artistic license, help the reader understand crucial decision points and events in the European war.
