Goodreads asked Consuelo Saah Baehr:

How do you get inspired to write?

Consuelo Saah Baehr I use everything that I have lived and know. Working in a large department store as a copywriter inspired me to write Nothing To Lose. My days in a convent boarding school and later living in a posh suburb where the driveways were long and silent inspired me to write Best Friends. The exaggerated interest in Real Estate inspired me to use apartment hunting as a vehicle to get my favorite heroine through a tough life cycle. My paternal grandparents' personal upheavals under Ottoman rule when they lived near Jerusalem inspired me to write Daughters. You have to use what you know and unearth the best protagonist to put in your precious material.
