Between us we have sent three kids to college from different high schools – so we saw up close the intensity of the college admissions process. We saw it affect communities, friendships, and parent-child relationships. GIRLS WITH BRIGHT FUTURES was a way for us to explore why so many parents are willing to do just about anything to give their kids a leg up to get into their dream schools. And we say, “their dream schools,” we’re not necessarily talking about the kids.
