Oh my goodness ! I just saw this question, which was so long ago. My sincere apologies for over looking this.
Each Gray Guardians Series book is a stand alone, so you will still understand the story without reading the first book. But if you want to start from the beginning than, yes Earth's Ultimate Conflict is the first book in the Series of eight Gray Guardians Series books. Book two is Escape from Nuur and The Journey will be out shortly.
I shall watch my sight more closely in the future.
