Jason I wouldn't be surprised. If not, he certainly should. Any writer should.
Kirsten Hacker I don't know, but he seems to have been reading Michael Ende, some chick lit from 2015, and my 2018 self published novel. I counted 43 page by page sequential plot overlaps and that doesn't include the even greater number of nonseqeuntial overlaps that contributed to thematic consistency. His previous book has been compared to a book by Claire North. It had about 12 sequential points of unique overlap - impossible for this to occur by chance.
