Carlizard Well, if there was no accident in the first place then there also wouldn't have been a story and so "Tears of a Tiger" and all of its characters wouldn't exist. However, if you just mean that he survived the accident then I imagine the story would have a lot less to it. The main theme of "Tears of a Tiger" is about a young man struggling with survivor's guilt and how his community fails in helping him to cope with his trauma. If Rob were to survive the car crash then all of the young men involved would have felt a lot less guilty and probably bounced back from the experience a lot quicker. Also, Andy would probably be more pissed about losing his license. Realistically, if Draper had chosen to write the book with Rob surviving she probably would've had him sustain serious damage because without some sort of loss there really is no big story to write about.
