Are there any writers groups in particular you would recommend for aspiring authors to join?

Kaitlin Bevis I prefer in person. You'll want to visit and get a feel for the members. You want to be about the middle to lower end of experience level compared to the other members. You can generally find groups near you by searching sites like meetup, band, facebook events, and your city or state writing association :)
