Goodreads asked Jayne Lockwood:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Jayne Lockwood Put simply, I write. The worst thing you can do is not write, in my opinion. It doesn't have to be about that particular thing you are struggling with. It can be something completely different, but whatever it is, the creative juices are flowing and it takes you far enough away from the problem that you can see it more clearly. I've always find that, anyway. And you might have something you can use later - a poem, something for your blog, a snippet of another book. The important thing is to keep the words flowing.
