Hashim Book two is nothing close to book one. When reading it I was thinking to myself there's no way that this guy wrote Blood Song. There were four additional POV's in this book and they were all pretty much the same. The character development just wasn't there like in the first book. Also, the majority of the book was dedicated to characters moving from place to place. All in all though, this book seriously suffers from the second book syndrome, especially considering just how absolutely fantastic the first one was.
