Goodreads asked Robert James Schultz:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Robert James Schultz As I said before. You have to just plow right through it. So what if it won't come out the way you think it should. If it won't, let it vommit out on the page and go back to it later and figure it all out. I can't tell you how many times I have had to do this and cringed as it was happening. But something inside, and you should listen to this carefully, something inside you will push you and coach you to just dribble anything out. Don't try to make it wonderful the first time around. There is plenty of time to make that happen, believe me, you'll be going back multiple times anyway, I promise.
