Hello, In "the Footman", at the end of chapter nineteen, she describes her orgasm as "petit mal". I only know that term as used for epileptic episodes, and "petit mort" for the orgasm, or 'little death'. Is there another use for this word? Thank you, Frouke

You've made an excellent catch that got through 2 editors and several proofers! It should be le petit mort, meaning little death, an artistic euphemism for an orgasm.

I just finished the first three books in the Victorian Decadence series and I love them so much! They definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone and I can't stop thinking about all the characters. I see two more books are planned for the series and I can't wait to read them. Is there a hope for a Jackson book in the future? I just want to know more about him.
