Not really. Annika was on the spectrum and was anxious. Eleanor was totally delusional. She acted as though her mother was still alive. Annika had a good mother. Eleanor’s mother tired to kill her and killed her other daughter.

Just from a personal perspective, I couldn't stand Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. The book itself, as well as Eleanor, drove me nuts. While The Girl He Used to Know leans pretty romance heavy (which isn't my normal genre), I loved this novel!
