Megan asked:

I'm struggling with the time units you've used here (non sci-fi reader alert). So could you explain them a little? I think ans are years (in earth time equivalent), and decians are maybe months?? Please help!!! Also how old is Haimey? At first I thought she was around 25 but then I just got totally lost with trying to work it out!

Steven Mastroyin I think the intention is to have us break a little free of thinking of time relative to Earth standard. That said, I think the way to think about it, using Earth standard is:

Centurian = 100 years
Decan = 10 years
An = 1 year
Decian = 1/10 year, roughly 36 days (dias)

I forget all of the different time units but that's the idea.
