(view spoiler)[That last line… whoa. It brought up new questions- Was Jess behind the whole thing? But honestly, that couldn’t possibly be true, given Jess’ start of the novel. Now, if the author had found a way to completely flip this knowledge and make it clear that she could have been the one pulling all the strings for the entire novel, just for the money that she blackmails out of Thomas, THAT would have been amazing. Roop I do not think, author's have copped out with the cheapest of literary devices in a way completely unfair to the reader and in that way, I realized, while reading the book, I was over-thinking. So no, it is what it is. No cheating audience.
