T.G. Deitman
asked:
This is my first Faulkner work. It took me some time to get into the cadence of the writing. Somewhat off-putting at the start. The question remains in mind is whether the story line makes the work so great or is it the manner in which the story is told? I think that, on occasion, the book community elite tend to go all agog by the style and less by the story.

It can become like the emporer's new clothes. really you got to judge on the garment not on the brillance of the tailor or techniques they use. lol.
